Vila Real is a Portuguese city located on the edge of the Terra Quente, near the Marão mountains. One of the things you must see in this city are the historic homes. These homes are definitely one of the main attractions in Vila Real. Three of the most striking homes include the Diogo Cao House, which was built in the second half of the fifteenth century, the House of Drills, and the House of the Marquis of Vila Real.
There are also many religious places to visit in Vila Real. Some that deserve special mention are the Church of São Pedro dos Clérigos, Capela Nova, São Brás Chapel, the tomb of Teixeira de Macedo, Espirito Santo Chapel, and Chapel of Bom Jesus Hospital. As for the green spaces to see in Vila Real check out the UTAD Botanical Garden. This garden is located at the University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro (UTAD).
