The best things to do in Portsmouth

Portsmouth is a city in southeast England in the UK. It belongs to the ceremonial county of Hampshire. It's popularly known as Pompey and extends over Portsea Island, off the Isle of Wight in the English Channel, which in turn shapes the natural estuary of Portsmouth Harbour. Most things to see in Portsmouth are related to its naval history, including: the D-Day Museum and the shipyard where the ships HMS Victory, the remains of the Mary Rose, and the HMS Warrior are now located. All of these, plus the National Museum of the Royal Navy and the Royal Naval Museum, are just some of the many attractions in Portsmouth.

The HMS Warrior, the first British battleship in history, and the HMS Victory, a famous British ship that participated in the 1805 Battle of Trafalgar as the flagship of Admiral Horatio Nelson, are must-visit
Portsmouth attractions. History lovers can't
miss some other museums, like the D-Day Museum, which celebrates the famous landing of the allied forces on the Normandy coast, the National Museum of the Royal Navy, and the Royal Naval Museum. Spinnaker Tower is the tallest tower in the city and is the centerpiece of
Portsmouth Harbour's
redevelopment. It's 170 meters tall with glass sails that are represented as sails in the wind. At the top is an observation deck, providing a 360 degree view of the city, which should be at the top of your list of things to do in Portsmouth. And to disconnect a little, there's nothing better than taking a stroll on the Portsdown Hill, one of the most relaxing places to visit in Portsmouth and where you can enjoy wonderful views of the metropolis.
