All about Dallas tourism

Dallas was made famous by the eponymous 70’s TV show, but a trip to Dallas today means visiting North Texas' economic and cultural hub that offers some of the best restaurants, museums, shopping, and nightlife in the region. So, ready to learn about tourism in Dallas ( or as the locals say, the Big D)? Let’s get started….

Most visitors will arrive at Dallas Ft. Worth International Airport (DFW) or Love Field Airport located closer to the city. Both airports are serviced by the DART train, though visitors arriving at Love Field will have to catch a quick bus to the Inwood/Love Field station where you can begin your Dallas vacation.

As far as Dallas tourism goes, the sky’s the limit. Head to the suburb of Arlington to root on the Cowboys at AT&T Stadium or try the exhilarating rides at Six Flags over Texas. If you’re sticking to downtown during your Dallas holiday, visitor favorites include the Sixth Floor Museum, the Arboretum, the Aquarium, the world-class Dallas Museum of Art, and the Galleria, a true shopper’s paradise.

You can’t visit Dallas, though, without trying the food. Digging into some smoky BBQ is a must, but Dallas is also home to the nation’s best Tex-Mex and plenty of 5-star restaurants. If you travel to Dallas in late September, head to the State Fair of Texas at Fair Park to try some of the decadent treats on offer.
