Zen Backpackers
More than a hostel, it is the home of a friend. I left my weekend stay at a Buddhist temple in Busan with no idea where I was going to stay that night, and mobile technology proved useful because within 10 minutes of searching Google, I selected a hostel from several options, I called, booked, they sent me an email with instructions and map, and half an hour later I was installed with June, a real character. Her house is on the 15th floor of a huge apartment block, and has three shared rooms, with a mixture of customers, because when I was there, there were Taiwanese, Japanese. Chinese, a Mexican and a Spaniard.
June gives you the keys of the house to allow you to come and go freely, there is free coffee and tea all day, free wifi, and above all a very relaxed and cool Jamaican type atmosphere. So confident are you when I left there was no one in the house, they left the deposit money on the table and they had never asked me passport or any proof of identity.
