Zahora Beach

De un lado limita con la playa de El Palmar y del otro con el Faro de Trafalgar, donde comienza la playa de Caños de Meca. Para acceder hay que hacerlo por alguno de estos dos lugares, lo que dificulta un poco las cosas ya que suponen varios minutos andando que, bajo el sol de justicia del verano en el sur de España, se hacen muy largos. Eso sí, una vez dentro merece la pena si lo que buscas es una playita tranquila donde relajarte al sol. En invierno está vacía y en verano va muy poca gente. Es perfecta para llevarte un libro y desconectar. O para practicar un poco de yoga a solas o guiado por uno de los muchos profesores de esta disciplina que viven por la zona. También es una playa buena para el surf, al igual que sus vecinas de al lado, aunque tal vez el mejor deporte para practicar aquí sea el skimboard. Su ola orillera lo convierte en un sitio idóneo para ello y casi todos los años se celebra algún campeonato (espero que no te coincida con el fin de semana que pensabas dedicar al yoga). Otro deporte famoso por esta zona es el submarinismo. La pesca submarina también está muy extendida por aquí gracias a las piezas que se pueden cobrar (doradas, meros, corvinas...), pero NO TE METAS SI NO ERES EXPERTO. En esta playa se encuentra La Aceitera, conocida aquí en Cádiz por las muertes que causa cada año. Las corrientes son muy fuertes, eso te lo puede decir cualquiera, y los agujeros en las rocas y las cuevas submarinas pueden costarte muy caro. Si quieres bucear mejor ve del otro lado del faro, a Los Caños. Allí estarás seguro y disfrutarás igual.

Desde Vejer de la FRontera, una pequeña carretera muy pintoresca te lleva a través de los montes durante unos 15 kilómetros para llegar a Caños de Meca. La playa de Zahora está indicada, porque hay un par de hoteles cerca de la costa. Hay que salir de la carretera principal a la altura del camping de Caños. Es una playa preciosa, poco desarrollada, de hecho está prohibido construir en toda la zona, pero muchos hoteles construyeron sin permiso. La playa es casi desértica, y es un lugar fresco, gracias al viento que pasa por el estrecho de Gibraltar. A lo lejos, vez Marruecos. Y a mano izquierda está el faro de Trafalgar, otro punto de excursión popular. La playa no está vigilada.

Me encanta esta playa. Es mi rincón de relax, de paz. Este año hemos estado (con la de la foto, mi chica) unos días, y he vuelto a BCN nuevo. Reconstituido como para hacer un ironman/semana. Esa playa tiene algo especial, y el atardecer es lo mejor. Jazz de fondo en el chiringuito de Juan, buen ambiente, y la brisa atlántica acariciando el cuerpo, ya castigado por el sol durante el día. La mochila 'rollo Pocholo' habla del picnic-merendola previo a la toma de la instantánea. Una pasada, os la recomiendo! Simplemente perfecto. Con mi chica, y repitiendo 7 veces. Se encuentra en la localidad de Los Caños de Mec, en Cádiz. Me imagino que mucha gente compartirá mi experiencia, dado lo paradisíaco del asunto. Nos vemos en Cádiz!!!

Zahora está en un núcleo de casas que encontramos, pasado el El Palmar de Vejer y antes de llegar al faro de Trafalgar, cuando vamos desde Conil en dirección a Los Caños de Meca. Es una zona muy tranquila, con multitud de casas en amplias parcelas, de estrechos y sinuosos carriles que conducen a unas de las pocas playas vírgenes que quedan en la provincia de Cádiz. La inaccesibilidad de su playa hace que sólo los residentes disfruten de ésta bonita playa. Se encuentra muy cerca del Parque Natural de la Breña, donde podrás practicar senderismo y visitar los impresionantes acantilados de La Breña y su excelente pinar. La playa de Zahora, se encuentra en el Cabo de Trafalgar, no está urbanizada, mide aproximadamente 7.800 metros y posee una anchura media de 35 metros. Su arena es dorada y fina, ventosa, de oleaje moderado y ocupación media. En bajamar aparece un gran arrecife donde los niños suelen jugar en las pequeñas lagunas que aparecen cuando la marea está baja. Gracias al arrecife es abundante la pesca en esta playa. La zona de El Faro de Trafalgar se encuentra al Sur de la Playa de Zahora, es una zona completamente virgen y natural, no hay edificaciones y tan solo a varios kilómetros se ve la carretera, no cuenta con ningún tipo de servicios excepto limpieza de playas. Una de las sorpresas que puedes encontrar en la playa es un chiringuito encima de un pequeño acantilado desde el cual poder ver el mar mientras disfrutas de un buen mojito.

Pequeña cala anterior al Faro de Trafalgar, en la costa de Cádiz. Tranquila, apacible, desconocida y con un pequeño hotel costero de muy pocas habitaciones y ambiente chill-out. Parece una paradisíaca playa de Haití, Maldivas o Mauricio. Nada más lejos... Está en la provincia de Cádiz, en las playas pertenecientes a la localidad de Vejer de la Frontera.

que puedo decir que no se halla dicho de esta playa una maravilla de playa un sitio para desconectar de el mundo cuando puedo suelo ir me tomo una cervecita fresquita sentado en la terraza de sajorami que es un alojamiento rural a orilla de la playa y mirando al mar y escuchando las olas como rompe en esa playa de arena fina desconecto de todo,solo se que si el paraíso existe se tiene que parecer mucho a la playa de zahora.

Siempre que puedo me hago una escapadita por esta playa,no es muy grande pero te acoge , te atrapa y no quieres irte para casa, hay varios chiringuitos y a partir de las 19:00 puedes escuchsr música en directo y esperar la puesta de sol tomándote un delicioso mojito, si tengo que recomendar alguno a mi me gusta la palapa,buen ambiente y buenos precios comparados con los demás... si vas no tengas prisa...

He estado en muchas playas pero las puestas de sol de estas (en la zona de Barbate) tienen un encanto especial. De hecho mucha gente va exclusivamente a ver dichas puestas y después de las mismas se aplaude. Lugar idóneo para el relax, hacer deporte y/o pasear por la misma, en fin no se puede explicar lo que se siente si no lo vives en directo. Recomendable 100%

No es una playa muy extensa pero sí que es muy bonita. El agua tiende a un color esmeralda. La puesta de sol es espectacular, el cielo y el mar se vuelven de color rosa...un espectáculo digno de contemplar.
