A quiet town
The quiet town of Zablaće (pronounced Tzablache) is 3-4 km from the famous and popular tourist town of Sibenik, on a sort of cape or peninsula. Being so close to Sibenik makes the town either not known or very crowded, which is always good. As in many other places in Croatia, we arrived with our hired buggy totally by accident, looking for a beach where we could take a calm and relaxed dip near Sibenik. After passing the town's marina, we followed a road that runs parallel to the coast, we came to a residential area with many apartments opposite Zablaće beach. Rather, I would say a series of typically Croatian beaches, i.e.
A combination of piedrillas, rocks and slabs of concrete with metal ladders to access the water. As a small succession of beaches it is best that you choose a place that suits you. As it was summer there were people, but you could tell that Zablaće tourism is different, it is usually full of people who summer there, even if they are foreigners. That is why there are so many villas and apartments opposite the beach. Moreover, as seen in the photos, it is a super quiet place with spectacularly clean water and an idyllic horizon of the Croatian coast, however, the day we were there it was atypically decorated with a freighter/huge ship that sailed the waters of the kind of channel that opens between Zablaće and Zlarin island directly opposite.
