A place in Ecuador where you will find people, not monuments
Yantzaza is in southeastern Ecuador, in the province of Zamora Chichipe, bordered to the south by Peru. It has no more than 10,000 people living there. It is rather a "charming town". It is warm so a warning: Here lasts an eternal summer. Be prepared for this if you visit Ecuador, because there is a difference between the Andean and this is the Amazon. It is not a place to go to see monuments and buildings. Here you will see interesting people. My advice is to take a stroll to the river and to the other side of the bridge, where people come together to have a few beers or lay on the hammock under the shade.
