Yamnuska Wolfdog Sanctuary

Upon arriving at the picturesque location of the Yamnuska Wolfdog Sanctuary, we were greeted by Georgina, a smiling, friendly and beautiful young woman who co-founded the Sanctuary in June of 2011. We were lucky enough to be the only two people visiting the Sanctuary that Monday morning in October, so we were treated to an incredible private experience with the Wolfdogs. Georgina took us into the large fenced area that contains her Wolfdogs (at the time, there were four) and spent an hour guiding us through an educational talk about the Wolfdogs including their history, temperaments, habits, needs, and what it means to be a Wolfdog owner.
