Xingu is a Brazilian pizzeria located in the Valencian neighbourhood of Benimaclet. It is one of my favourite places to dine, for its food and décor.
They have a variety of starters like cosinhas, sausage and cheese bread, which are rolls with Xingu cream cheese and on top a piece of ham, sausage, chorizo ...Finger licking good! The Brazilian-style chicken is also very nice.
They have a variety of main dishes, but I advocate the pizza because I'm a pizza lover and in particular those of Xingu I adore! You can find everything from pizzas with typical ingredients to other less common components: corn, pineapple...
I recommend the "cogumelo" (with mushrooms and ham) and the "alto Xingu" (onions, Aragon sausage and Xingu cream cheese). You can also choose from 3 different bases.
On Tuesdays, on request, you can enjoy a feixoada, which is a typical Brazilian dish which the brave season with chilli, to get the most authentic Brazilian flavours in your mouth.
On the menu you can read about the history of the locale. Something like the founders family is from Brazil, but his father was Valencian with a bakery in Ruzafa, the most traditional district of Valencia ... From the culinary mix culinary of his roots, Xingu was born ;)
After the feast, we can ask for one of the desserts or a caipirinha ... They sometimes invite you to some passion fruit liqueur shots that they make themselves, delicious! Get out the ramp so we can exit rolling!
