Alfonso Navarro Táppero
Wine Museum
The Museum of Vine and Wine of Navarra, opened in November 2002, in the 17th century former palace of Holy Angel. Its restored facade in Teobaldos Square and the other buildings are as emblematic of this town of Navarra as the Royal Palace, today Parador hotel. It has four floors, the latest audiovisual guides and takes visitors on a journey that will lead you through the history of wine in Navarre. Grapes and vines are at the centre of the first floor exhibition while the second floor is dedicated to wine and its production. The culmination of this visit is in the basement, which incidentally was in its day the cellar of the old palace, where you interactively learn about the colors, aromas and flavors of the wine.
