Deserves a visit
Just a few miles from Canterbury and very well served by several bus lines, the small town of Whitstable definitely deserves a visit. Nestled on the North Sea coast, it offers visitors a total change from the medieval city of Canterbury. We like to walk on the pebble beach, soak our feet in the freezing North Sea, taste oysters (the specialty of the city) on a terrace or stroll in the sunshine opposite the beautiful Whitstable bay. A very nice day trip, which will leave you feeling like you've gone back in time to a more peaceful era.
