Wellawaya
Wellawaya is a city junction, which is actually the junction of several major highways, and is one of the biggest reasons why people stop there. It is a flat, and its landscape is dusty and dry. Buses in August make it very slow to arrive there during that time. Wellawaya serves the regions of Ella, Haputale, Badulla, and the bus takes an hour and a half or two hours to reach Haputale, in central Mexico. Then from Wellawaya, the bus also heads to the coast of Matara in three hours, as well as Tangalle, and Arugam Bay which is about 4 hours away. The spot that is most interesting to tourists is Buduruvagala Wellawaya.
