Kuang Si Falls

A special and spectacular place, to get there you can choose among three options from Luang Prabang: 1 is to rent a scooter, but prices are inflated, if you compare with other parts of the Southeast, around 12 euros. 2 is negotiate with a driver of a tuk tuk, where you will also find inflated prices, you need to go in a group of several people for them to give you a good price. 3 is by cycling a distance of about 30 km. Admission is symbolic, approximately EUR 2, or 25000 kips. It is a tremendous place, with several spectacular falls.

Kuang Si Falls are situated about 35 kilometers from Luang Prabang. It is a beautiful hike for a morning or afternoon. At the entrance there is an conservation center with Asian black bears that were taken away from poachers who were going to use them to get ingredients for traditional medicines.
