It's worth discovering
At the Phra Kan Srhine we found the ruins of an ancient Khmer shrine. It consists of three prang (towers) representing Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva. Hindu characters were created by the ancient kingdom of Angkor Wat (Cambodia) when they controlled the area. For the culture to which they belong they are called red monuments. After it's liberation it was converted to a Buddhist temple. There are many monkeys in this temple which rest on the towers or the shade of the structure. Entrance to the temple costs about 30 Baths (about half a euro) and includes enclosed manicured lawns where some city residents come to spend the day.
