Wat Mahathat

Until about 1800 Ayutthaya was the capital of the ancient kingdom of Siam, it is one of the most visited places on the way to northern Thailand, the city is located at the merging of three major rivers in Thailand. The monument comprises of Buddhas and columns along with the remains of old palaces. Because it is a very extensive tour it is advisable to rent bicycles to enjoy the visit to the full full.
