The temple dates back to the 12th Century
This temple, or rather, its ruins, are situated in the city of Chiang Saen, and they belong to the province of Chiang Rai, in Thailand. The temple dates back to the 12th Century and it is a fine example of a classical Lanna style building. The most notable feature, from what I saw during a short photo stop, was the enormous chedi, which is 58 meters tall. To us it took a bit to fill the final hours of hiking, as the rain did not let us see the temple that is in the Golden Triangle. But you can get to Chiang Saen by taking a local bus from Chiang Rai.
