Wash-houses and Fountain

Walking through the old quarter of Barcena - very well preserved - one can find some public laundries in different parts of the village. This is in the neighborhood of the bridge, in a small square. It is a stone building (as well as other condominiums), and rectangular. Outside there is a fountain attached to one wall. Inside the building there are two big piles of water (but now empty), where the ladies came to wash clothes when there was no running water.
