1 review of Wara-wara Train

Scenery which is virtually uninhabited

The train Wara-wara goes from Uyuni to Villazon, and travels throughout most of the night. There is a fabulous scenery which is virtually uninhabited, meandering rivers in the mountains that separate Bolivia from Argentina, streams with all shades of red, guns and semi-abandoned towns. Villazón is the last village in Bolivia, bordering Quiaca, Argentina, where there is a sign saying 'Ushuaia: 5121 km', the previous year the sign said 'La Quiaca: 5121 km'.
