The walls of Kotor are in Kotor, Montenegro. Kotor is the background for the longest fjord in southern Europe: It is about 30 miles long. The walls, are 4.5 km long and 15 meters high, and surround Kotor and most of the mountain. They are now a UNESCO site. The wall also runs through the mountain, which instead of being a circular wall around the town, it becomes a wall "to China", with a great viewpoint. The highest point of the wall ends in the bastion of Sveti Ivan (St. John). This magnificent viewpoint and strength allows perfect control of the bay and the surrounding mountains. The fort is about 300 meters above sea level and the old part of Kotor.
