City built to defend itself from attack
Sibiu is located in central Romania, and is a city with history, and was founded in the Middle Ages by the Saxon village. They came from Germany to cultivate the land and defend the area of the king of Hungary, in exchange for privileges and no tax. Around the city, constructed in the 13th century was a wall to protect themselves. You can see inside part of the square and the square Mare Mica, the tiny and the large square, and the rest of the street which is narrow. The houses were connected to each other to be stronger in case there was an attack. The walls are not fully preserved, most were destroyed.
