A stroll along the coast
When in the village of Kaikoura, apart from whale and dolphin, one of the must-do activities is a stroll along the coast. This route starts at Point Kean Kaikoura, and continues along the cliffs to the South Bay and then back across the isthmus. It is a 3 hours walk. On the way you can see colonies of seals, gulls and puffins. There are many viewpoints with details written on them for visitors to read.
