A fascinating museum
The main shopping street in Bayamo is known as Calle General García, but nobody calls it that. In the late 1990s it was turned into a pedestrian-only street and reconfigured with colorful murals and street lights posing as trees and paint tubes.
The soil itself is an amalgam of mosaic, with marble of various colors and shapes. Also, the craft of metal forgery and metal sculpture has its place in the street, with allegories to those who maintain the parks free of fallen leaves. (Curious). Do not miss the street and the endearing Archaeological and Wax Museums, which are small but well taken-care-of.
