Wadowice is a small town located in southern Poland. It is 50 kilometers from Kraków with almost 20,000 inhabitants. It is renowned for being the birth place of Pope John Paul II. Getting off the train there are groups are nuns and pilgrims and if you follow them, you will go straight to the house where the Pope lived. The Family of the Holy Father museum collects tokens of Karol Wojtyła and his family. You can't miss the souvenir shops of John Paul II, although there isn't much inside. It is located near the Basilica. More than 200,000 people visit here each year.
