Visitor Center of the Caves of Postojna

If you are on a budget and choose not to visit the caves, do not leave without visiting the small, free animal museum found within the 20 km of tunnels and galleries. In the caves you will see the human fish, Proteus Anguinus, a very rare species of dragon eel. There are other creatures in the caves, namely 83 species of animals such as spiders, grasshoppers, butterflies, water snails, bats, mice, etc. of which we saw nothing but the proteolytic and some bats. In the museum and visitor center, you can see them for free at your own ease as they are located outside of the caves. We saw them alone.
