Vimianzo Castle

El Castillo de Vimianzo está en la entrada del mismo pueblo por la C-552 desde la Coruña. Cuenta con una planta poligonal con 4 torres, un patio de armas y otras dependencias dedicadas a muestras de artesanía. El castillo es una fortaleza medieval en la que se conservan las almenas, la torre de homenaje, así que atendiendo a las caracteristicas de las paredes se calcula que esta edificación tiene su origen en los últimos años del siglo XII o principios del siglo XIII. Actualmente pertenece a la Diputación Provincial de A Coruña, así que su entrada es gratuita y dentro podemos ver alguna que otra exposición da "Costa da Morte", artesanía, etc. Además es el escenario de múltiples actividades culturales. Cierra los lunes. En verano está abierto hasta las 20:30 horas, en horario de mañana y tarde.

Es un pequeño castillo muy bonito, al cual puedes acceder en su totalidad, con artesanos que te enseñan cómo trabajan, muy amables, y con artesanías preciosas y a buen precio.
