Villamuriel de Cerrato es un municipio de España en la provincia de Palencia, comunidad autónoma de Castilla y León, España. Situada en la comarca del Cerrato a 7 km de la capital de provincia Palencia. Municipio bañado por el Río Carrión y el Canal de Castilla. Respecto al patrimonio arquitectónico cabe destacar en Villamuriel la impresionante iglesia de finales del siglo XII, Iglesia de Santa María la Mayor, el Puente Románico Medieval, el Monasterio de Nuestra Señora de la Consolación y el Palacio de la Reina Isabel la Católica.
