East Village Japanese

I decided to take a Japanese friend to this lively East Village site in Manhattan, where there are several Japanese restaurants. There was a wait of about 15 minutes at the door, but it was so worth it! The menu is extensive, but the same raw Japanese dishes are found in Spain. Our friend ordered many dishes to share among the group, so we could try more variety. Everything was delicious. A bowl of edamame was brought to start, to peel inside. We tried grilled fish, rice balls, a special Japanese cake called okonomiyaki, a pancake pasta, trozeada cabbage, and pork and mayonnaise sauce wings with dried seaweed on top.

Besides the quality of the food, the place is very nice and has genuine decor.
