Victory Church

This seventeenth-century church is situated next to a convent of the Order of the Minims. It was burned down during the Spanish Civil War and never rebuilt. All that remains of the convent is the west facade, which has been rebuilt with gray stone from the Motril the Cerro del Toro quarry. The Minims Order altarpiece was remodeled by the Augustinian friars. During the occupation of Motril, the convent was converted into a military barracks. Apart from an image of the Good Shepherd there is a nice image of Christ the Healer, donated to the Church by a devout member. It is also the burial place of
