Rue de Vaugirard

More than 4 miles long, the longest street in Paris passes through the AV, the XIV and neighborhoods of Paris VI. Take the bus 62, but the amount of traffic, means it is best to walk, though it takes a while. Once an axis of the city in the sixteenth century, the way to reach the village of Vaugirard, it is now just a suburb of Paris. It merged with the streets of Paris in 1860, to become this great street, leading to the Boulevard Saint Michel. We started near the periphery, heading to the center of Paris, we passed traditional neighborhoods with street markets, then the Pasteur Institute and the Hospital Necker treating sick children, then crossed the street to Rennes , one of the liveliest in the city.
