Vallon Beach

When you go down the Ardeche river by kayak, there is a 30 kilometre run through the gorges. It's has great natural beauty. The beach of Vallon Pont d'Arc is located just after the entrance to the gorge. It's a small white rock beach, which is very pleasant in summer because there are several shady trees and the other beaches have no shade. The beach is on the left when you go down the river, just past Rainbow Bridge, a natural stone bridge that the river made by changing its course. You can get there by car, but there aren't many places to park. If you want to swim, remember that the current is powerful so you have to watch the children.
