6 reviews of Valley of Fire State Park

Interesting rock formations

Excellent

The "Valley of Fire" is not one of the National Parks of the United States. Instead it plays in the lower division of State Parks. A few miles from Las Vegas, it is a great place to go for a geological hike as an appetizer before visiting the bigger parks in Utah. The Navajo sandstone spreads out rosily under the clear desert sky, twisted into interesting shapes...we saw one formation that looked distinctly like an elephant! A nice stop before continuing to the casino!

So beautiful

Excellent

Went here with my family. Definitely worth seeing. The desert was in full bloom when we were there in April. So beautiful.
