The Convent of San Benito, which outwardly is a group of magnificent buildings, hides to visit two jewels: the cloister and the unfinished church. The church is notable for its size. Very high and with three ships, for its proportions was destined to be a cathedral. One is not expected to be so when you see the building from the outside. The guide did his job advising us: it began during the reign of Ferdinand and Isabella, but never ran. "There can see where they came in their construction" ... and effectively, which should continue the following arcade ships the building was enclosed by a wall with no nobility. During the War of Independence was severely plundered, and then, after the seizure, became a kind of indoor public place where they kept cattle became lights, etc.. It is therefore almost miraculous that there is still some of the organ, but its ruin now prevents access to a famous spiral staircase, we were unable to see. Nevertheless, well worth the visit.
