Ulugbek Observatory

El Observatorio de Ulugbek se encuentra justo enfrente del recinto ocupado por el [poi=479191]Museo Memorial de Ulugbek[/poi] y es una verdadera obra de ingeniería que aún hoy en día se está estudiando. Fue mandado construir por el gobernador en ese momento, Mirzo Ulugbek en el siglo XV, siendo así el primer observatorio que hubo en el Este. Ulugbek además de gobernador fue un famoso astrónomo y creó un sextante de 30 metros (3 pisos de altura), para así poder medir las posiciones de las estrellas con la mejor precisión posible y de esta forma crear mapas astronómicos, con una precisión sin precedentes. Este observatorio fue destruído deliberadamente en el año 1449 y hasta el año 1908 los restos del Observatorio no serían desenterrados, gracias al arqueólogo V. L. Vyatkin. Casi 60 años después las autoridades soviéticas consiguieron que en el año 1964 se inaugurara el nuevo Observatorio y el actual [poi=479191]Museo Memorial[/poi]. Personalmente fue una de las visitas que más me gustaron en mi ruta por Uzbekistán, ya que este observatorio era totalmente desconocido para mi y gracias a nuestro guía llegamos a darnos cuenta de la importancia de este descubrimiento que sino llega a ser desenterrado por el arqueológo soviético no hubiera perdurado en nuestros días.

Ulugbek Observatory is located directly opposite the venue occupied by Ulugbek Memorial Museum and is a true feat of engineering even today being studied. It was built by the governor at the time, Mirzo Ulugbek in the fifteenth century, becoming the first observatory was in the East. Ulugbek governor also was a famous astronomer and created a sextant 30 meters (3 stories high), in order to measure the positions of the stars with the best possible accuracy and thus create astronomical maps with unprecedented accuracy. This observatory was deliberately destroyed in the year 1449 and until 1908 the remains of the Observatory would not be unearthed, thanks to archaeologist VL Vyatkin. Almost 60 years after the Soviet authorities managed that in 1964 he inaugurated the new Observatory and the current Memorial Museum. Personally, it was one of the visits that I liked on my route through Uzbekistan, as this observatory was completely unknown to me and thanks to our guide we realize the importance of this discovery but becomes unearthed by Soviet archaeologist would not have survived to this day.

Se encuentra en el nordeste de Shahi-Zinda de Samarcanda ; El Observatorio ,dedicado al gran Astrónomo y nieto de Tamerlan o Timur. Fue un gran investigador en muchos campos , como buen matemático desarrollo el planetario y su rotacion en las constelaciones .Sus investigaciones esta recogidas en el Libro de Zij-al-Sultan. Segun te aproximas impacta la gran estatua y el planetario de fondo ,igual de bonita que la de su abuelo , dan testimonio de lo grandes que eran ,de cuanto dejaron en el periodo en que gobernaron de la riqueza de sus construcciones en Samarcanda . De acceso por dos entradas de escaleras a una plaza en la que frente por frente se encuentra el "Observatorio y el Museo del Ulugbek " ambos merecen la pena ,ves como era por la maqueta expuesta un edificio redondo perfecto , sus utensilios , mapas etc ...

It is located in the northeast of Shahi-Zinda Samarkand, The Observatory, dedicated to the great astronomer and grandson of Tamerlane or Timur. It was a great scholar in many fields such as developing good mathematician and planetary rotation in the constellations. Their research is contained in the book Zij-al-Sultan.
