UCLA Hanna Carter Japanese Garden
The UCLA Hannah Carter Japanese Garden covers just over an acre of land and is located in the community of Bel Air, which is about half a mile from the campus. The garden was inspired by the gardens of Kyoto. Many structures in the garden - the main gate, garden house, bridges, and shrine - were built in Japan and were reconnected. Many pieces here came right from Japan like the ancient stone carvings, water basins and lanterns, the five-story pagoda, and key symbolic rocks. It is a very special place.
