U Josefa Svejk

If you're in the Czech Republic and want to eat at a unique site it is easy to find restaurants with the figure of the "good soldier Svejk" The figure of the soldier was comic and today seems like a sort of national hero portrayed in many pubs. One of them in the town of Marianske Lazne is the U Josefa Svejk. Calle Chebská out of the side of the main promenade of the city (Hlavani Trida) is where this restaurant serves traditional food. Upon entering notice the decor that narrates stories of this soldier, it has bright colors but a warm and friendly atmosphere. The menu has delicacies like garlic soup (who likes strong flavors) or spicy beef carpaccio.
