Turrents of Navamuel and Manrique

Los torreones de Navamuel y Manrique, y Navamuel y Calderón son dos de los edificios más antiguos de Reinosa, que formaron parte del núcelo fundacional de la ciudad en la baja edad media. Se hallan en la Plaza España, junto al Ayuntamiento. Están construidos en sillería, con gruesos muros de 80 centímetros de espesor. El más antiguo es el torreón de los Manrique y Navamuel (siglo XV), y se comunica por dentro con la primera planta del Consistorio, albergando la alcaldía y el salón de plenos. Sobre su fachada lucen dos escudos, uno sobre el balcón y otro sobre la puerta. El torreón de Navamuel y Calderón se encuentra anexionado al de los Manrique por su lado izquierdo. Es más estrecho y de menor altura, con una galería de arcos de medio punto en forma de soportal. También tiene un escudo (bastante desgastado) sobre la ventana. Data del siglo XVI. Ambos torreones fueron reconstruidos tras el incendio que asoló la ciudad en 1.932. La última reforma fue realizada en 1.989 por José María Pérez González y Fernando Gutiérrez Polanco, inaugurándose en el 2.001 como dependencias municipales.

The towers of Navamuel and Manrique, and Navamuel and Calderon are two of the oldest buildings Reinosa núcelo that were part of the city's founding in the late Middle Ages. On its facade look two shields, one on the balcony and one on the door. The tower of Navamuel and Calderon is annexed to the Manrique on its left side. It is narrower and lower in height, with a gallery of arches shaped portico. It also has a shield (pretty worn) on the window. XVI century. Both towers were rebuilt after the fire that devastated the city in 1932. The last amendment was made in 1989 by José María Pérez González and Fernando Polanco Gutiérrez, inaugurated in 2001 as municipal offices.
