9 reviews of Trummelbach Falls

The thawing of the highest mountains in Switzerland

We discovered this little place in Switzerland via a travel forum. One day, after visiting the Schilthorn down to Interlaken, we caught a bus that lead us to a tremendous failure: trummelbachfalle. We were almost afraid to delve inside. The noise is deafening. Million of liters of water fall to the ground with such force that all you can think about is that if you fall no one will find you ... But it is amazing to see the Jungfrau melting!

Underground waterfall

Excellent

This site is in the valley of Lauterbrunnen, and it's the only underground waterfall in Europe. To access the waterfall that originates from a glacier you have to take an elevator, and begin the tour of its 72 waterfalls. The impression that it has left on me has been tremendous... The force of the water, the ferocity of the noise and during the year draws about 20,000 tons of stone. I'm definitely coming back!
