Tribute to Le Thai To

Plus qu’un monument, c’est un véritable temple à l’un des anciens dirigeants du Vietnam Le Thai To, considéré comme héros national pour avoir évincé les envahisseurs durant le XIVe siècle. Les créatures qui accompagnent le héros à l’épée – celle-là même qui dut être remise par les dieux et avalée par la tortue légendaire du lac Hoan Kiem - ont des airs amusants, qui m’ont rappelé les hyènes du Roi Lion. Comme le Vietnam vénère ses héros, de l’encens brûle toujours au pied de la statue, dans cet impeccable jardin.
