A pleasant experience
I stayed at this hotel on one of my visits to Vigo, in July 2007. It is a 3 star, and part of the Sercotel chain, ideally located in the financial and commercial heart of the city, next to the Corte Ingles department store. It is a multi-story building accessed up a few stair, as the street on which it stands slopes steeply. In the area it's virtually impossible to find parking, but the hotel has underground parking (7.50 € per day) where you can park as long as your car is not too large, because the access ramp is very narrow. Be aware that maneuvering in and out can be a bit difficult.
The reception area is quite spacious, with a desk, a lobby area with sofas (where tourist brochures are on offer), and access to the cafe and restaurant, which is open to the general public. Unfortunately, the staff we encountered weren't very friendly, and when we arrived, we had to wait quite a while for them to organise our check-in. The room was quite nice, spacious with two king size beds, a closet with two shelves, satellite tv, luggage racks, and a desk with a book about tourism in Galicia. The furniture was dark wood contrasting with the curtains and duvets in garnet tones. There were radiators for heating, and air conditioning, but there was no thermostat, and we assumed it was controlled centrally.
