Treat Museum
This museum is located in the interior of the Houses of the Treaty where the June 7, 1494 was signed the first agreement of division of the world between the kingdoms of Spain and Portugal, setting the boundaries of the lands already discovered or to be discovered. Known as the "Treaty of Tordesillas", which would later divide the world into two parts by an imaginary line drawn from pole to pole, 370 leagues west of the Cape Verde Islands. At the entrance of the museum is the reproduction of the three ships of Columbus, and an audiovisual. There are three thematic areas in the exhbition, and they are placed throughout two rooms:-The world before the treaty: shows the cartographic knowledge of the time and the conception that Christopher Columbus was the world.
