The Trat bus station is about a mile north of the city. If you visit the islands of Koh Chang, Koh Kood Koh Mak or the best way is by bus, which is cheaper. Trat station buses arrive and depart from Ekamai station and Morchit Station in Bangkok. They are usually used to reach Ekamai station in Trat path which take between 6 and 10 hours. It is unpredictable and depends on the choice and bus stops. The station is equipped with a bar and restaurant, vending machines, telephones, toilets, etc.. It also has shuttle Tuk Tuk or songthaew to the center. Communications between Bangkok and Trat begin at 5:00 am daily and hourly buses until approximately 6:00 am.
No need to book ahead of time given the number of buses that move between these 2 points but if you want you can do it without any problem.
