Transalpine Road
The Transalpine Road is the road that connects Novaci, Road number DN67C, in the south, with Sebes, in the north. We took it from Sugag, since before we went to see more of the mountains. They were paving the road, but now, it is a bit more complicated to drive in the region, there is not much tourism. The road crosses over The Parang mountains of the Southern Carpathians, and is with the Transfagarasan, a little further east, one of the country's most spectacular roads. It takes two or three hours to cross unhurridly, stopping to have a picnic at the beautiful Lake of Oasa, halfway along, and a walk in the forest.
