Train from Rome to Perugia

One of the quickest (think: an hour and 40 minutes) and cheapest (about 12 euros) ways to go to Perugia from Rome is to take the train that leaves every hour from Termini station. Although this train has no frills, it's reasonably clean and is quite fast because it doesn't stop very much. In Spain it's very difficult to go by train at these prices, but it's true that there are more amenities on the trains here. In comparison, this would be like a Spanish commuter train: sparsely appointed but quick. Yes, I recommend closing your windows in the tunnels because the pressure changes can be truly annoying.
