Two small theaters
The building currently consists of two small theaters designed by architects Tim Foster and John Muir. Studio 1, the larger of the two, can seat 380 people. It opened on June 3, 2004, its first production being the Royal Shakespeare Company's Othello. Studio 2 has 100 seats and opened in October 2005 with a show of the play Cyprus. Between 1997 and 1999, the theater was transformed into a television and radio studio, used primarily to broadcast shows like BBC Radio 4 Live from London.
