Town Hall or City Hall

El Ayuntamiento o Casa Consistorial se ubica en plena [poi=713891]Plaza Mayor[/poi] del municipio soriano de El Burgo de Osma, mirando frente por frente al [poi=712751]Hospital de San Agustín[/poi] y al lado del [poi=713301]Restaurante Cafetería 2000[/poi]. La construcción de este edificio fue realizada por el arquitecto Ángel Vicente Ubón en el año 1768. Este Ayuntamiento no pasa desapercibido a nadie ya que su estilo arquitectónico no es el propio de un Ayuntamiento "de un pueblo de 5000 habitantes". Me encanta su estilo neoclásico y en los bajos se repite la estructura de la [poi=720361]Calle Mayor[/poi] con soportales. Descataría 2 cosas en el edificio: 1) Las torres que flanquean al Ayuntamiento rematadas por chapiteles de pizarra. 2) El reloj que preside el balcón del segundo piso que está abierto por una balaustrada que mira a la [poi=713891]Plaza Mayor[/poi]. Este reloj se colocó posteriormente a su construcción, en concreto en el año 1886. En mi opinión creo que la Casa Consistorial o Ayuntamiento es el edificio que menos llama la atención al visitante al Burgo de Osma ya que todos se centran mucho más en el otro edificio que ocupa la [poi=713891]Plaza Mayor[/poi], como es el [poi=712751]Hospital de San Agustín[/poi], pero al que todos deberían prestar más atención para poder apreciar su belleza.

The City or Town Hall is located in the Plaza Mayor of the municipality soriano of El Burgo de Osma, looking directly opposite the St Augustine Hospital and next to the Restaurant Café 2000.
