A Pretty Neogothic Ceiling
The eastern Drummer Tower is lower than the other towers on the castle of Hunedoara. You can't see it from outside because the drawbridge is on the west side of the castle. It's a circular two-story defense tower, one level for a residence and the other for the arms. Its construction is a bit similar to the Capistrano tower. The Drummer tower was built during the first phase of work performed by Ioan of Hunedoara. Today, the top of the tower looks like a living room, but before it was a battle room, where the guards would hide to defend themselves in case of attack. There's a nice Gothic ceiling, which was built during a renovation in the 19th century.
