In the municipality of Villajoyosa and next to Finestart Creek at the top of the mountain is the watchtower of L 'Aguilo. It has been recently restored and has one of the best views of the Costa Blanca. It is located in mountain full of pine trees and recently, a road has opened from the Cala de Finestrat. A great place to visit.
I was staying in Benidorm on holiday and I love hill-walking so I decided to go to Finesrtat for a trek. I arrived at Finestrat, saw these cliffs, and wanted to climb to the top. After climbing 180m there were no grips. About 3 ft away was the nearest rock I went for it and the brittle rock snapped. AAAAAAHHHH! Now I know how the Roadrunner felt! I was a very lucky tourist, bloodied and bruised, but I cleaned myself up in the sea then went to a bar and had a double brandy! That's when I saw the Watchtower L'Agulio. I climbed into the tower had fantastic views and photos couldn't believe my luck
