“The Balcony of Privileges”
The ultimate symbol of the city, the Torre de Bujaco is a tower along the Almohad walls of Cáceres that is connected with a small bridge.
This square-foundation tower was built by the Arabs in the 12th century on the remains of a Roman ashlar, and measures 25 meters high. It was defended by three ramparts and battlements and is topped with battlements designed in a Muslim-style pyramid.
