Torre Bismarck
At the top of Hornisgrinde, amid a plateau that forms the area the area of Grindenpfad, stands a signal tower of 7 meters, built in around 1840. The tower served as a watchtower until the Second World War. Currently it is another attraction of the most famous mountain and Nature Park. Bismarck tower is accessible thanks to its lateral spiral staircase. On clear days, from its viewpoint, one can see the dark and lush Black Forest. A poster reminds us of the important crossroads representing this area, since just a few kilometers away are the neighboring cities of Strasbourg etc and France can be seen in the distance.
It's a good place to birdwatch and take interesting photos, plus enjoy the panoramic 360 º view. They say that in winter it becomes one of the most touristy places for winter sports ... I'll have to try it ;-).
