A mythical place
Tintagel Castle is a castle located on the southern tip of England, in the county of Cornwall. These medieval fortifications are now in a state of ruin, but Tintagel Castle is a very famous place in England because of its associations with the legend of King Arthur, and the Knights of the Round Table. It was here that the mythical king is said to have been born, and allegedly grew up under the protection of Merlin the Magician. Tintagel Castle is now one of the most visited sites in the UK. The ruins are not only interesting for the legend, but they also provide a beautiful look at wild Cornwall.
